Kelly + Women's Issues - Kelly Hayes-Raitt for Assembly, California District 41
For 25 years Kelly has fought on the front lines of many significant battles for women's rights. In recognition of her hard work, the LA County Commission on the Status of Women named her 2004 Los Angeles County Woman of the Year.

At a time when the California Legislature is losing many female representatives, Kelly will continue to champion the rights of women:
  • Worked as the West Coast Director of the National Abortion & Reproductive Rights Action League

  • Created the Women's Health Campaign to hold drug companies accountable for their dangerous drugs

  • Organized press conferences for California Women's Law Center and LA NOW with victims of Gov. Schwarzenegger's sexual harassment before the Recall

  • Served as the moderator for former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton's National Town Hall Meeting, "What Every Woman Should Know About Social Security."

  • Appointed to the Santa Monica Commission on the Status of Women

  • Served as Treasurer and Board Member for the Association of California Commissions for Women

  • Volunteered as LA Media Coordinator for Women for Kerry

  • Is national spokesperson to protect women's legal rights to hold corporations accountable for sexual harassment and discrimination
